This year the South of Ireland Branch of the Suffolk Sheep Society will once again host their stand at the National Ploughing Championship in Tullamore.  This is the National Event that gives the opportunity to all associated with Agriculture in Ireland and beyond to highlight and showcases their product to over 300,000 visitors.   The South of Ireland Branch of the Suffolk Sheep Society will be to the forefront again this year to showcase Suffolks and Suffolk X Cheviot at their best.

The South of Ireland Branch of  the Suffolk Sheep Society have a pen of pedigree Suffolk  Ewe lambsbred by Philip Lynch –Glyde Flock – on the stand and also a pen of Suffolk X Cheviot ewe lambs owned by Ann &  Dan O Mahony – Ballygarvanstud Flock – to make up  three pens on the Suffolk Stand for 2018together with a  Purebred Registered Suffolk  Stock Ram, Burnview the Duke – from the Flock of Philip Lynch of the Glyde Flock. This Suffolk  Stock Ram has won many awards and prizes. First in his class at theSuffolk  National Championships in Kilkenny. He has secured Suffolk Champion at Tullamore, Dundalk, Athlone and Oldcastle shows.  Our stand will  be located,  as always, inside the front  door of the Sheep Tunnel and we welcome all visitors and  Sheep breeders to view our our  excellent display of Suffolk Sheep. Our long established experienced Suffolk Breeders will be on hand to advise, discuss and encourage all farmers in the merits of the Suffolk Breed.
